Dry skin can be uncomfortable and unappealing, feeling rough, itchy or tight and appearing gray or ashy in color. Unusual redness or cracks in the skin can occur and may cause inflammation and bleeding. Proper care for dry skin is determined by the factors that cause it.
Possible Causes for Dry Skin • Reduction in size and production of oil glands related to aging and chronic illness • Any rash especially on the inside surface of elbows, behind knees and on the face, hands and feet may also be present, often triggered by an allergic reaction to a contaminant (detergent, perfume, sand, chemicals). Symptoms can be managed by moisturizing the skin and avoiding the trigger. • Extreme temperatures or low humidity • Long, hot baths or showers as well as chlorinated water of swimming pools and hot tubs • Poor lifestyle choices (inadequate nutrition, alcohol consumption, smoking, excessive washing

Prevention is key: the symptoms of dry skin can be managed with healthy lifestyle changes. • Apply moisturizer immediately after bathing, morning and before bed • Use a humidifier when the air is dry • Reduce exposure to harsh elements and temperature extremes • Use products that are free of dyes or perfumes • Stay well-hydrated and maintain a balanced diet
When to See a Doctor The symptoms of dry skin can usually be managed with lifestyle changes, using mild cleansing agents and moisturizers. See your doctor if dryness and itching interrupt sleep or if open wounds or large areas of peeling skin appear.
Shiseido’s award-winning 3D imaging technology has uncovered mechanisms in skin thanks to its ability to visually separate the skin’s components. The latest findings reveal the root cause of wrinkles and ‘pre-wrinkles.’
Researchers utilized this 3D technology to analyze the mechano-physical properties of skin in various age groups, from young to senior. They found that the balance of elasticity between the stratum corneum and dermis deteriorates with age. This, they concluded, is the root cause of wrinkle formation. Some of these study results were presented at the IFSCC Congress in 2020.
Exquis Skincare has developed most effective treatment to reduce lines and wrinkles.
In addition, they observed that not only visible wrinkles, but also invisible “pre-wrinkles” can be improved with treatments targeting this imbalance in skin elasticity.
Analyses were made utilizing the company’s ultra-high resolution ultrasonic technology—which enables the evaluation of skin regions with thicknesses as small as one micron (1/1,000 of 1 mm); even the stratum corneum, measuring only a few tens of microns. Skin’s elastic properties were measured by layer in 130 Japanese women, from 20 to 60 years old, via skin’s repulsive force in response to pressing.
Results indicated the stratum corneum became harder with age whereas the dermis became softer, and the greater the elasticity gap between the stratum corneum and the dermis, the deeper the wrinkles. Furthermore, in terms of young skin with no visible wrinkles, the researchers reported areas having a larger elasticity gap between the stratum corneum and dermis are more likely to form wrinkles when the skin is deformed, such as during facial expressions.
In relation, female volunteers in their 40s applied a cream containing a simple form of retinol and moisturizing and softening agents repeatedly for four weeks. The mechanical properties of their skin were measured before and after product application.
The 3D analysis revealed skin’s elastic properties were resolved whether wrinkles were visible or invisible. In addition, both visible wrinkles and temporal or expression wrinkles were significantly reduced. Based on these results, the researchers confirmed that a skin care approach combining topical and ingestible care could improve “wrinkle-proneness” in skin even before wrinkles appear.
One ounce of almonds packs around 165 calories, 6 grams protein, 6 grams of carbohydrates, and 3.5 grams fiber. Plus, its 14 grams of fat is 80% monounsaturated fat — a healthy fat that helps lower your risk of heart disease while filling you up.
“Bad” Cholesterol Buster
Almonds come packed with plant sterols, which are compounds that prevent your body from absorbing cholesterol. One-third cup of almonds a day, especially when you swap them for a less healthy snack choice, lowers your levels of LDL (“bad”) cholesterol.
Serve Up Calcium of all the nuts, almonds have the most calcium, at about 75 milligrams per ounce. Calcium is key for bone building, blood clotting, healthy muscles, and a strong heart.
Dairy Substitute
Whether you have allergies or avoid dairy for other reasons, almond milk is a great stand-in for cow’s milk. It’s lactose free and cholesterol free and is often fortified with nutrients and vitamins.
Full of Fiber
Fiber is a healthy diet must: It helps keep you regular, keeps your blood sugar level, holds cholesterol in check, and lowers your risk of dying of cardiovascular disease. Almonds deliver 3.5 grams of fiber per ounce (about 23 almonds).
Help with Weight Loss
Noshing on almonds helps you feel fuller, which can curb your cravings. Even with their high calorie count, almonds don’t pack on pounds. In fact, some studies show almonds can help boost your metabolism and bring on weight loss.
Better Sleep
The unsaturated fat in almonds boosts your serotonin levels during the day. Serotonin is a chemical in your brain that helps control your sleep/wake cycles. Higher levels during the day mean better sleep at night.
Boost Your Sex Life
A recent study of men showed that a half cup of nuts a day enhanced their sex life, improving the quality of their orgasms and increasing their sexual desire
Build Immunity
Almonds come stocked with vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps build up your cells to better withstand damage. Studies show getting more vitamin E can help prevent heart disease, Alzheimer’s, and cancer.
A liposome is a spherical vesicle having at least one lipid bilayer. The liposome can be used as a vehicle for administration of nutrients and pharmaceutical drugs. The fatty composition of liposomes facilitates movement into tissues that recognize molecules as beneficial substances. The liposome transdermal delivery system supplies active ingredients via the skin and is a primary pathway for a stable supply of nutrients across the stratum corneum (top layer) into the dermis (inner layer of the skin). The strong barrier properties of the stratum corneum often limit the effectiveness of delivery. For effective delivery of beneficial nutrition into the skin cells, the barrier functions of the skin must be permeated. Both actives and the latest expensive peptides ingredients are only as good as the delivery system used to introduce them into the deeper skin layers.
The “bricks and mortar” architecture of the human skin’s stratum corneum (outer layers), prevents the invasion of bacteria and viruses into the body. This defense mechanism also prevents the active ingredients in about 99% of existing skincare products from entering the dermis (inner layers of the skin), rendering existing products marginally effective.
Most of the skin care products cannot penetrate the top layer (epithelium). To penetrate the stratum corneum, a molecule must be of low molecular weight, oil, and water soluble and have a low boiling point. Liposome transdermal delivery manipulates the intercellular pathways allowing larger, more unstable molecules (such as ascorbic acid) to be delivered to deeper target cells in the epidermal and dermal layers, maximizing benefit and effect.
Exquis sets itself apart with cutting-edge skincare research and technology. The advanced liposome technology utilized in Exquis skincare products provides a vastly superior method of active ingredient delivery. This breakthrough method allows active natural ingredients to penetrate through the outer layers of the skin (epidermis) to reach the inner layers of the skin (dermis). Exquis liposome bilayers can then fuse with other bilayers such as the cell membrane and deliver the liposome contents to the skin.
Consistent with future trends in skincare, preservatives used in Exquis products do not contain parabens or formaldehyde-releasing agents. Exquis skincare products address a widespread consumer need for an effective, high-performance skincare solution that treats the effects of stress, aging and other minor skin ailments. Ideal for all skin types, ethnicities, and genders. Made in the USA.

I absolutely love Exquis Skincare Products. It leaves my skin soft, fresh and blemish free.
Skin is the largest organ of the body, consisting of three layers (epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous) that regenerate about every four weeks. It functions in the regulation of body temperature, as protection from harmful elements and as sensation to pleasure, pressure and pain.
The epidermis (stratum corneum) is the outermost layer of skin and contains no blood vessels. It is a protective barrier, undergoing rapid cell division (mitosis) that forms a tough, waterproof, outer layer that is dependent upon the underlying dermis (middle layer) to provide nutrients and to dispose of waste. It contains melanin, a pigment that produces vitamin D and protects the body from UV radiation of the sun. The stratum corneum is in a constant state of change, shedding flattened, scaly epithelial cells. As new cells are produced, older cells are pushed to the skin surface, producing keratin, a waxy, protein substance that aids in cell repair, skin, hair, and nail growth. Its primary function is to prevent moisture evaporation necessary for proper skin hydration.
Water evaporating through the epidermis is known as transepidermal water loss (TEWL). The measurement of transepidermal water loss is a reliable indicator of the integrity of skin barrier function. A decrease in hydration contributes to skin disease and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles associated with aging.
The natural moisturizing factor (NMF) of the stratum corneum, necessary for healthy, smooth and hydrated skin, is comprised of lactic acid, amino acids, sodium PCA, minerals and peptides, a mix of powerful, water soluble humectants that are byproducts of a structural protein known as filaggrin. Skin uses these byproducts by recycling them to make NMF.
The importance of NMF to skin health is
To protect from mechanical damage and maintain skin elasticity.
To activate hydrolytic enzymes necessary for dead skin cell shedding.
To support the barrier function by protecting the cells from infection, dehydration and chemical damage.
The knowledge of NMF function aids in understanding and treating skin disorders. Antioxidants are the first line of defense against damage caused by the use of harsh skin care products and excessive rubbing that strip skin of natural lipids. These protective antioxidants minimize free radical damage due to aging, hormone fluctuation, poor diet, inadequate hydration, emotional stress, air pollution and UV damage from the sun. Optimal hydration promotes cell renewal and protects the skin barrier.
Exqus Skincare products have a host of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Natural humectants provide skin protection through moisturizing (skin’s ability to retain water molecules) and hydration (enhancing water content). To achieve this, Exquis Skincare product ingredients draw moisture to the stratum corneum by increasing NMF to retain moisture and protect against pollutants, bacteria and irritants. It inhibits enzyme production to even skin tone, repair sun-damaged skin and soften skin texture, repairing and healing the skin barrier for a healthy and supple appearance. Advanced proprietary liposome delivery technology allows https://www.exquisskincare.com/x/ products to penetrate the outer skin layer, reaching the inner layer to produce significant results of healthier skin. Exquis Skincare is committed to offering a natural, holistic skincare regimen that addresses specific skin conditions and lifestyle.

The skin around the eyes is thin and fragile; with fewer oil glands, it is more prone to dryness, showing signs of age and fatigue. Squinting, sun exposure, air pollution, dehydration, fluid retention, allergies, and genetics, as well as daily habits such as sleeping on one’s side, rubbing the eyes, smoking and facial expressions, hasten the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Fluid that collects under the eyes causes puffiness and dark circles.
Prevention, through proper hydration and SPF use, is always the best approach to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The active ingredients in eye creams, intended for the delicate area around the eyes, are specifically formulated to be thicker with a higher oil content. These anti-aging products that reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles provide moisture to the skin and decrease trans-epidermal water loss. The recommended application is to gently pat the cream above and below the eyes (patting technique).
Exquis Beautiful Eyes Cream, comprised of all-natural ingredients and paraben-free, is delivered through a proprietary liposomes delivery technology to the inner layers of the skin, a deep conditioning cream specifically formulated for the thin, sensitive skin around the eyes. The barrier repairs itself using Ayurvedic natural actives Aloe vera, basil, neem, turmeric, and sandalwood. The appearance of dark circles, puffiness, surface discoloration and unevenness is dramatically reduced to reveal visibly healthier, smoother and more luminous skin. Fast absorbing, pleasant scent, non-sticky, soothing and silky to the touch, Exquis Beautiful Eyes Cream is an affordable, premium quality product, made in the USA and perfected for all genders and ethnicities.

Prevention is the key for healthy skin and overall health. Our daily habits have a cumulative effect in the anti-aging process.
Ayurveda is the oldest, continually practiced form of natural medicine in the world. Originating over 5, 000 years ago, this concept focuses on body-mind wholeness and wellness of the individual, created through balancing three biological energies (doshas). Lifestyle choices that include proper diet, nutrition and hydration, physical activity and self-care, optimize digestion to maintain balance. The goal of products containing Ayurvedic ingredients is to maintain overall wellness through prevention and healing and to develop an attractive external appearance. Ayurveda establishes the highest standards in the theory of a natural, plant-based skincare routine that can restore a clear and beautiful complexion.
The Three Doshas of Ayurveda:
Vata dosha is expressed in all motion and communication. Vata rules the flow of the breath and communication throughout the mind and nervous system. Characteristics of vata imbalance include frequent hunger, irregular sleep patterns, fast-paced gait, and emotional outburst
Pitta dosha is expressed in understanding, metabolism, heat production, digestion and energy production. Characteristics of pitta imbalance include dominating and self-determined, punctuality and fitful sleep.
Kapha dosha provides stability and structure and balances fluid by hydrating cells and systems, lubricating joints, moisturizing skin, and protecting tissues. Characteristics of kapha imbalance include empathy, emotional eating, sleep inertia and passivity.
Imbalances of the doshas may be caused by inadequate diet, acid reflux, anxiety, headaches, stress and/or trauma, as well as lifestyle choices that can affect skin appearance, overall health and cause disease.
How do imbalanced doshas affect skin health and how can they be corrected with Exquis Ayurvedic skincare products?
Exquis moisturizers effectively hydrate dry or rough skin associated with Vata imbalance, restoring softness.
Exquis moisturizers calm, cool and neutralize inflamed skin and rashes attributed to Pitta imbalance.
Exquis moisturizers restore oily skin, seen in Kapha imbalance, to its normal state.
Exquis Skincare products combine traditional Ayurvedic actives including turmeric, neem, aloe vera, basil, and sandalwood. These ingredients are well known and traditionally used for their extensive soothing, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial healing properties. A daily skincare routine and a clean diet are two of the most important tips for achieving beautiful skin.
Skin is constantly under construction; developing good nutritional habits will keep it repaired and healthy. Many of the best foods for healthy skin are also beneficial to overall health and should include a variety of fruits and vegetables, lean protein foods, whole grain carbohydrates, low fat dairy products and all plant-based foods.
The main function of the skin is to act as a barrier to infection and disease. The skin works hard to protect our bodies,Although external factors can negatively impact the skin’s condition and impair its ability to defend against harmful substances. Skin changes are often the first visible manifestation of the aging process, defect, or disease. Proper nutrition is one of the most important factors associated with reducing the occurrence of skin disease and promoting healing. Micro-nutrients, including vitamins and minerals, are essential components of skin structure and function for daily maintenance. An impaired nutritional status alters structural integrity and biology, resulting in an abnormal skin barrier.
A primary cause of skin aging is exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation in sunlight. Other lifestyle factors such as dehydration, malnutrition, smoking, stress, poor sleep habits and excessive alcohol consumption also contribute to aging skin. These repetitive, deficient lifestyle choices cause cellular damage. Oxidative stress occurs when an oxygen molecule splits into single atoms with unpaired electrons, known as free radicals. This damage weakens living cells and tissues leaving skin and overall health vulnerable to premature aging. Antioxidants protect the skin by reducing and counteracting free radical production. The impact of poor nutrition on skin health is demonstrated by the incidence of skin disorders associated with nutritional deficiencies.

Eczema is the most common type of inflammatory skin disease (dermatitis), often appearing as a rash on the face or in the bend of elbows and/or knees. Until now Eczema can be treated to manage symptoms but cannot be cured; Now Exquis Skincare has developed highly effective treatment for eczema. Now eczema can be cured by using Exquis Eczema Therapy
The outermost skin layer (epidermis) functions as a protective barrier that regulates moisture and prevents harmful substances (pathogens) from penetrating the skin. Eczema-prone skin retains less moisture than healthy skin, resulting in dryness due to poor skin barrier function. When moisture loss occurs, skin is more vulnerable to irritants, triggering an overactive immune response that results in clinical symptoms of eczema. it is not contagious or easily transmitted.
Symptoms of Eczema:
Dry, sensitive skin
Itchy, red and inflamed skin
Dark colored patches
Rough, scaly and thickened skin
Scabbed patches
Scratching itchy skin worsens eczema, resulting in skin oozing and scabbing. The goal of eczema treatment is to manage symptoms of flare-ups and to relieve and/or prevent itchy skin. A good skin care regimen is important in maintaining healthy skin and preventing eczema flares.
For best results, I recommend using Eczema Therapy followed by Ultra RichMoisturizer. Exquis Skincare has developed Eczema Therapy that relieves the symptoms of eczema including dryness, itchiness, irritation, and rough patches.
